CLASSY CLOSET
INFORMATION FOR DONATIONS

The Classy Closet event    is coming up in July at our July 17th luncheon, but we need you to focus   on two things right now:

  1. Go through your closets and drawers for items to donate to the event - gently worn clothes, shoes, jewelry, handbags.
We will announce shortly the locations where you can drop them off between Saturday and Wednesday before the luncheon.
  2. Let the committee know if you have clothing racks we can borrow for this event.  We could  arrange to pick them up in advance. Contact Sylvia Sanchez or Janet Winkler.

This is always a fun event! So plan on donating or just come to find a perfect new treasure for only $5.  All money raised goes to our charities.  Unsold items go to SPARK.

CHARITIES UPDATE

The 2025 Charities for 2025

  • All Star Children’s Foundation
  • The Food Bank of Manatee County
If there is an interest in touring All Star Children’s Foundation, one of our charities, please let Carol Fink know as soon as possible so she can coordinate the visit. Email her at wccharities@welcomeclubsm.com. The tours are usually in the morning while the children are busy. The campus is located on 17th street in Sarasota and is on a 5 acre enclosed property with 6 houses, a club house, gardens and playgrounds.

Karen Doggett and her grandson, Julian, Sylvia Sanchez, Rose Marie Hadley, and Carol Fink delivered uniforms and monetary donations to Stephen Francher at ALL STAR CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION and helped put things away in their boutique.
