PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE ![]() I am excited to share some important updates and opportunities for our community as we continue to strengthen The Welcome Club of Sarasota/Manatee. Mark your calendars for our upcoming event on **July 17** at **Palm Aire Country Club**! Registration is open until **July 8**, and you are welcome to bring up to **8 guests** for this special gathering. For more details on the event and information about donation drop-off locations, please check our website. We are reaching out for your help as volunteers. Your contributions, whether big or small, can truly enhance our club and the experiences we offer. While I appreciate all the suggestions I've received, we need your involvement to bring these ideas to life. Additionally, nominations are now open for the **2026 Executive Board**, **Committee Chairs**, and **Committee Coordinator** roles. If you are interested in these positions, please complete the **Candidate Notice of Intent** form that was recently emailed to everyone. We are particularly in need of an **Events Chairperson**, an **Event Co-Chairperson**, and members for the **Event Committee**. We also seek individuals to manage **Luncheon Venues**—those who can coordinate with catering managers for meal planning, seating, and technical needs. Experience is beneficial but not required! Lastly, we need someone to arrange speakers for our **2026 luncheons**. If any of these roles interest you, please let us know! Our **Special Interest Groups (SIGs)** play a vital role in fostering connections within our community. I’ve had the pleasure of attending some SIG events and would love to see more groups form. If you are interested in starting a new SIG, please reach out to Sheila Zuhlke. There are so many wonderful and positive things happening within The Welcome Club of Sarasota/Manatee. Together, we can elevate our organization from Good to Great! Thank you for your continued support and involvement. Pamela Modisett, President |
